Recently three members of Tassells staff qualified for their Emergency First Aid at Work certificates.
The subjects that they covered were:
- CPR (resuscitation)
- Use of an AED (defibrillator)
- Choking
- Burns
- Bleeding
- Breaks (fractures)
- Medical emergencies such as strokes, acute allergic reaction and shock
To complement this training they will conduct further in-house training in order to apply these skills and also help organise the scene of an emergency. These exercises will contribute towards the firm’s response to such situations, whether involving a colleague, client or someone on the street.
There have been occasions where first aid has been applied and it is important to maintain up to date qualified colleague should the need arise in the future but overall we hope that these skills are not needed.
