All members of the firm advise on all manner of legal issues faced by individuals, both in their financial affairs, and arising out of disputes. We take a particular interest in the decisions facing elderly clients in managing their property and planning for their future and that of their families.
We work closely with our clients’ financial advisers. Where we are asked to recommend a financial adviser we will suggest a provide which is genuinely independent, in accordance with our professional obligations.
We are happy to advise on business issues, from formation of trading and charitable entities, through property matters to employment advice (both employer and employee). We advise on contract terms and on disputes that may arise, on creation and termination of leases, and a wide range of commercial property matters. We set up Limited Liability Partnerships and Community Interest Companies. James Matthews advises on planning matters, including appeals, as his extensive experience in advising the government in such matters gives him a unique insight into the complexities of these disputes.
