Lawyers are often associated with delay.  Our objective, however, is always to carry out the work according to your preferred time scale.

Here are a few things you can do to help us help you in this respect:

  1. We normally have to take some preliminary steps before we can start work in earnest. There are professional rules governing how we deal with clients, so we will need to inform you of our terms and conditions, and we also have to carry out identity verification checks : this a statutory requirement.  You can expect us to write to you about these matters very soon after you have made contact with us, please then deal with our requests as quickly as you can.
  2. Always respond to our requests for information or instructions as soon as possible. If you are unable to supply what we need immediately you can let us know, and we can factor this in to how we proceed.
  3. If something becomes more urgent or indeed less urgent, or there is a change in the plans which might affect how we deal with your work, please tell us at the earliest opportunity.

We cannot eliminate delay but good communication helps!
